Postdoctoral Fellow
Georgetown University Medical Center
Benjamin R. Walker is a postdoctoral
fellow with Dr. Karen Gale in the Department of Pharmacology at
Georgetown University Medical Center. He received his PhD in Psychology
from the University of Virginia, and a B.S. in Psychology from Allegheny
College.
Ben organized and directs a six week
summer internship program in neuroscience research for minority
undergraduate student interns at Georgetown. His strong interest in
Neuroscience teaching led him to present information seminars on how
scientists communicate, and he conducts an interactive brain station in
outreach programs. He is also the webmaster of www.postdoctorate.net
. Ben receives research funds from a NIH Postdoctoral NRSA as well
as from the epilepsy device company, Cyberonics, Inc
