Atkins, Jr.
Graduate Student
Beckman Institute for Advanced Science & Technology
Norman Atkins, Jr. is a
graduate student with Dr. Yuqing Li in the Neuroscience Program at the
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He received his B.S. in
Biological Chemistry and attained Distinction in Leadership Studies from
Birmingham-Southern College.
Norman
serves as the neuroscience representative to the University of Illinois
Graduate Student Advisory Council and participated in the University of
Illinois Preparing Future Professors Seminar program. He is currently
working with other students to form a campus-wide organization that will
foster increased minority graduate student representation in the
sciences
