Gretchen Neigh-McCandless
Graduate Student
The Ohio State University

Gretchen Neigh-McCandless is a graduate student in the Neuroscience Graduate Studies Program (NGSP) at The Ohio State University. She works with Drs. John Bruno and Martin Sarter of the Departments of Psychology and Neuroscience. She completed a B.A. in Biology at Washington & Jefferson College in Washington, PA. Her interest in Neuroscience began with a Howard Hughes Fellowship to work with Drs. James S. King and Georgia Bishop at The Ohio State University. Most recently, she was awarded a Grant-in-Aid of Student Research from Sigma Xi.

Gretchen has a strong interest in student advocacy and education. She has served as the Neuroscience delegate to The Ohio State University Council of Graduate Students, and currently she is serving her second year as the student representative on the NGSP Committee. Her dedication to the NGSP led her to form and chair a subcommittee on student recruitment. In addition, Gretchen has taught Introductory Psychology at The Ohio State University and participated in the Preparing Future Faculty Program.
