Puder
Graduate Student
Northeastern Ohio Universities of Medicine
Barbara Puder is a graduate
student at Northeastern Ohio Universities of Medicine, working with Dr.
Raymond Papka. Her research project focuses on neuropeptides involved in
sensory and autonomic processing in the female reproductive system.
Barbara is also active in neuroscience and brain awareness presentations
to students ranging from elementary to the high school levels. These
presentations heighten awareness about the brain and nervous system and
also encourage students to consider a career in science or medicine. She
also started a graduate student roundtable discussion in which graduate
students and invited guest speakers discuss issues that enhance the
graduate school experience and facilitate successful transitions from
graduate school to post-doctoral positions and beyond.
