It is an interdepartmental program whose faculty research interests range from biochemical and molecular to behavioral and comparative. Currently 45 faculty in nine departments participate in the program.
Students graduate with either a Ph.D. or a M.D./Ph.D. after receiving a broad training in the technical and theoretical aspects of the biology of the nervous system. Nearly all graduates continue in a career of academic neurobiology.
Admission Requirements: The successful applicant will have a strong background in science, including physics, calculus and physical chemistry, and substantial research experience. The application includes the general GRE test, three letters of recommendation and transcripts from all previous education.
