Program Description:

The Cellular and Clinical Neurobiology (CCN) Program offers interdisciplinary Ph.D. training in neuroscience to students interested in bridging the basic science elements of cellular and molecular neurobiology with contemporary clinical neuroscience. Our training focus is on the etiology and treatment of the many neurological and psychiatric disorders that afflict our society and cost billions of dollars worldwide. Some of the problems we currently work on, but are not limited to, include drug addicition, schizophrenia, and Parkinson's disease. The home of the CCN Program is the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurosciences (DPBN). However, the interdisciplinary nature of our program involves faculty and student participation from multiple departments and programs across the medical and main campuses of the university. Currently, the CCN Program has over 30 faculty members and 15 Ph.D. students
