Program Description:  Neuroscience MS
A sound understanding of current concepts in neuroscience is the purpose of the MS degree program. The thesis research project teaches the fundamentals of scientific inquiry and trains students in state of the art research techniques. Submission of thesis to a peer reviewed journal is encouraged.

Neuroscience PhD
Coursework and research that emphasize the integration of molecular biology, developmental biology, biophysics, neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, neuroendocrinology, neuroimmunology, cognition, and behavioural neuroscience is offered through this PhD degree program. Students are required to develop a strong background in the principles of expertise necessary for successful research projects in their area of specialization. Publication of the research in peer reviewed journals is expected.

Admission Requirements:

1) GPA 3.0 minimum
2) Set scores on national standardized examinations
3) Must have certain courses completed in Neuroscience and related subjects
4) Must have letters of recommendation
5) Must have letter of intent
6) Availability of openings
7) Academic credentials

Annual Tuition and Fees: 

Latter Day Saint: Full-time $2290 / 1st semester
Non-Latter Day Saint: Full-time $4580 / 1st semester
Tuition following first semester varies depending on course load.

Approximate Cost of Living:  $6900 (not including tuition)

Housing Availability and Costs Per Year:  $4500 (room and board)

Stipend/Assistantships and Financial Assistance: Research or teaching assistant stipends first year MS begin at $4967.000 per semester, guaranteed two semesters per year, two years.
Research or teaching assistant stipends for PhD's begin at $5184.00 per semester, guaranteed two semesters per year, five years.

We pay up to $1000 per semester for Master's students tuition, guaranteed two semesters per year, two years.
We pay full tuition for PhD students, guaranteed two semesters per year, five years.

How, if Necessary, to Apply for Financial Assistance:  It's not necessary to apply, it's guaranteed if they're accepted as a MS or PhD student.
