Program Description:  The Neuroscience Training Program at the Medical College of Wisconsin offers students an interdisciplinary approach to the discipline of neuroscience. The program is institution-wide and is designed to allow students to choose from a wide variety of laboratories throughout the institution for their PhD research. In specific, strong research programs are ongoing in the areas of cognitive neuroscience; the molecular biology of vision; neural control of respiration, blood pressure and gastrointestinal function; the biochemistry of drug abuse; and neural development and gene regulation. The Medical College of Wisconsin has state-of-the-art equipment, including FMRI facilities and microscopy cores as well as equipped labs for individual investigators.
