Program Description: The Programme in Neuroscience is an interdisciplinary training programme set up jointly by two SISSA sectors, each of which awards its own Ph.D. degree. The aim is to provide comprehensive education in the various disciplines used to study the structure and function of the central nervous system, ranging from molecular studies to cellular physiology and pharmacology, from in vivo neurophysiology to theoretical approaches and neuropsychological investigations into higher brain activities in man. Within this framework the programme organizes common teaching activities, and encourages collaborative research projects by students and staff.
