 Admission Requirements:

Requires an undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Chemistry, Radiation or Medical Physics, Zoology, Psychology, Biomedicine, Biotechnology, Pharmacology, Pharmacy with a CGPA of 3.0 and above.
Those with MBBS/MD degrees and DVM are also considered for our MSc/Phd programmes.  All candidates must be proficient in English(for more details visit our university postgraduate website via http://www.usm.my)

Approximate Cost of Living:  $6,500 USD per year (maximum)

Housing Availability and Costs Per Year:  Rent for apartment or rooms may go from 80 USD per month to 250 USD per month.  University apartments available when booked months in advance.

Day-Care Facilities Available and Costs Per Month:  Daycare facilities in University campus and in the vicinity.International School also available 15 minutes drive from University campus. 

Stipend/Assistantships and Financial Assistance:  All Foreign students have to have their own scholarship and sponsors.  Locals may apply for bank assistance/scholarship loans via private or government bodies.

How to Apply for Financial Assistance:  The University Sains Malaysia may from time to time have information on stipends/financial assistance for foreign students.  To get a VISA from the Malaysian Government for purpose of study, proof of being able to sponsor yourself for the course is mandatory.
