Program Description: Wesleyan College is a liberal arts college for women with a culturally diverse student body, a student faculty ratio of 11:1, and a tradition of curricular innovations, beginning with its 1836 charter as the world's first women's college. Neuroscience at Wesleyan is an interdisciplinary and collaborative program between the Departments of Biology and Psychology. The neuroscience minor consists of an introductory course in biological diversity and upper-level courses in neurobiology, physiological psychology, learning and memory, animal physiology, and animal behavior. Participation in student-faculty research is strongly encouraged and is supported by current NIH and NSF grants.
