Program Description:  The Neuroscience Program offers students training in an interdisciplinary science with the aim of developing an integrated understanding of how the physical, electrical, chemical, and genetic properties of the central nervous system interact with expressed behaviors.  Students are required to take relevant courses in biology, psychology, chemistry, and neuroscience, along with statistical applications and research methodology and elective classes within the natural and behavioral sciences.  Each student completes an independent research project under the supervision of the neuroscience faculty.  Students have access to research equipment in the biology, chemistry, and psychology departments, and the rodent colony in the neuroscience laboratory.
