Position Description: PHYSIOLOGICAL PSYCHOLOGIST --- Ohio Wesleyan University. The Department of Psychology invites applications for a tenure-track position at the assistant professor level to begin August, 2007. Candidates should have a Ph. D. degree, a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching in a liberal arts context, and a well-articulated plan for an active research program that involves advanced undergraduates. The successful candidate will teach six courses per year including introductory psychology and upper- and lower-level courses in physiological psychology. Other teaching responsibilities may include: sensation and perception, psychopharmacology, and advanced courses in neuroscience. Candidates with postdoctoral research and demonstrated commitment to teaching as well as scholarly inquiry are preferred. Evidence of teaching excellence is also preferred. Applicants should submit a letter of application, vita, separate statements describing research and teaching interests, sample reprints or preprints of recent work, and three letters of reference to Dr. Richard Leavy, Chairperson, Department of Psychology, Ohio Wesleyan University, Delaware, OH 43015.
