Position Description: Department of Psychiatry, Columbia University
Officer of Research position as Post Doctoral Research Scientist is available in the Department of Psychiatry, Division of Integrative Neuroscience at COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY. Description: Incumbent will be responsible for the molecular characterization of transgenic animals that will allow for temporal and spatial regulation of genes in the mouse hippocampus. The position will offer opportunities in behavioral characterization of transgenic mice as well as computational modeling of biological processes.
Interested individuals should have a Ph.D. degree in the field of Molecular Genetics, Biochemistry or Neurobiology with at least one year of post-doctoral experience. This position requires extensive experience in both molecular genetic techniques as well as a strong math or physics background with working knowledge of SPSS.
